Donald Trump hosted a group of children in the Oval Office for a physical fitness event on Tuesday, reviving the Presidential Physical Fitness Award, and the result was as ridiculous as you’d expect.
In the Daily Show clip above, host Desi Lydic plays footage of the president telling the assembled kids about “the power of a nuclear weapon” before adding “you might be too young for this.”
“No, they’re not too young, I’m sure they’ve already seen the Paw Patrol episode where they drop a ballistic missile on Humdinger,” says Lydic. “How are you talking about nuclear war in front of children? You kids have seen Oppenheimer, right?“
Lydic goes on to play a montage of some of the other topics Trump discussed with the young cohort, including the “rigged election”, “open borders”, and “the Dow”.
“Mom, could you pick me up from the White House?” says Lydic. “The president’s trauma dumping on me again.”
